When I first had to buy a horse trailer I found it really difficult to decide where would be the best places to buy and sell trailers.
Nowadays, thanks to the Internet, life is a whole lot easier. You can do a lot of your window shopping online, before you have to traipse off and look at a trailer or horsebox.
Web sites like horses online show huge selections of horse boxes and trailers for sale. And they offer all makes and sizes.
One thing I did discover in those early days of buying used trailers was that the make of the trailer is not nearly as important as the condition it is in.
After my first experience of buying a horse trailer I am now paranoid about the state of the floor. Be very suspicious of any trailer that has a lot of bedding on the floor. This was how I got caught out. I didn't check the floor thoroughly enough and ended up with a massive bill for a new floor. In fact I was lucky my daughter's pony didn't break a leg when he put his foot right through the floor.
Beware of smooth talking dealers with trailers full of nice clean bedding!
You'll find horse trailers for sale all over the place, but take your time and carefully inspect each trailer that takes your fancy.
